Sterling Amethyst Earrings, .935 Argentium Sterling Silver, Chevron design by Two Silversmiths

These Sterling Amethyst Earrings feature 6mm and 8mm round Select Amethyst cabochons.  To create these earrings, first we etched the Chevron design into 20 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver.  Next, we set the Select Amethyst cabochons in 28 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver bezels.  Then, we enhanced the etched areas with hand stippling and a blackened patina.  Finally, for the wearer, we have added a unique design on the backs of the earrings.  The Sterling Amethyst Earrings measure 1-3/8″ x 5/8″.  We make our ear wires using .935 Argentium Sterling Silver wire.

These earrings would make a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection.  The deep purple color of the Select Amethyst cabochons make these earrings wearable with many items in your wardrobe.  They would pair well with red, black, gold, blue and green, to name a few. You can wear these earrings for casual outings as well as for a day at the office or an evening out for dinner.

We sign every piece of our jewelry and stand behind our workmanship.  You are welcome to use our Contact us form to ask questions, make suggestions or to inquire about special requests or possible commissions.

An English professor of silversmithing invented Argentium sterling silver in 1996.  Traditional sterling silver has a pure silver content of 92.5%.  In contrast, Argentium has a pure silver content of 93.5%.  A small amount of the element germanium replaces some of the copper.  As a result, this sterling silver is highly tarnish resistant, more workable and harder than traditional sterling silver.  Many people who are allergic to traditional sterling silver can wear Argentium sterling silver without a problem.
