Coprolite Sterling Silver Pendant

The cabochon in this Coprolite Sterling Silver Pendant is an elongated oval shape.  To create our design, we etched it into 18 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver.  Next, we set the Coprolite cabochon in a 28 gauge .935 Argentium sterling silver bezel. Then we enhanced the etched area with hand stippling. The next step was to add something personal for the wearer.  So, we have added a hand scribed unique design on the back of the pendant.  Finally, we polish the pendant twice.  First, we use Zam polishing compound.  Second, we use Rouge polishing compound. The Coprolite Sterling Silver Pendant measures 2″ x 3/4″.   Our .935 Argentium Sterling Silver chains are sold separately. Please click on “Chains” in the menu to view the selection.

The Coprolite Sterling Pendant would make an excellent addition to your jewelry collection.  The cabochon features colors of red, black and cream.  These colors increase the versatility of this pendant.  For example, you could wear it with black, red, green, dark brown or a golden yellow.

We sign every piece of our jewelry on the back and stand behind our workmanship. You are welcome to use our “Contact Us” form to ask questions, make suggestions or to inquire about special requests or possible commissions.

An English professor of silversmithing invented Argentium sterling silver  in 1996.   Traditional sterling silver has a pure silver content of 92.5%.  In contrast, Argentium has a pure silver content of 93.5%.  A small amount of the element germanium replaces some of the copper. As a result, this new sterling silver is highly tarnish resistant, more workable and harder than traditional sterling silver.  Many people who are allergic to traditional sterling silver can wear Argentium sterling silver without a problem.
