Sterling Silver Oval Pendant, Handcrafted Design by Two Silversmiths

This Sterling Silver Oval Pendant features an elongated oval Azurite Malachite cabochon.  The Azurite Malachite displays colors of deep blue, medium blue, dark green and light green. First of all, we sawed the shape from 18 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver.  Next, we soldered on a handcrafted 26 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver bezel.  Then we enhanced the pendant with hand stippling. As a final personal touch for the wearer, we  added a hand scribed unique design on the back of the pendant. The pendant measures 2″ x 1”. Our .935 Argentium Sterling Silver chains are sold separately. Please click “Chains”  to view the selection.

This lovely pendant would make a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection.  The hand stippling really flashes when caught by the light.  The shape of the Azurite Malachite cabochon is elegant.  You can pair this pendant with many colors in your wardrobe.  Just to name a few, it would look spectacular with black, white, blue and red.  This pendant would be appropriate for many occasions..

An English professor of silversmithing invented Argentium sterling silver  in 1996.   Traditional sterling silver has a pure silver content of 92.5%.  In contrast, Argentium has a pure silver content of 93.5%.  A small amount of the element germanium replaces some of the copper. As a result, this new sterling silver is highly tarnish resistant, more workable and harder than traditional sterling silver.  Many people who are allergic to traditional sterling silver can wear Argentium sterling silver without a problem.
